   Get licensed: most states require the ASWB exam after your degree

   You'll likely sit the ASWB exam at the Bachelor's (LBSW) or Master's (LMSW) level. The clinical license (LCSW) needs supervised post-grad hours but pays more and lets you do therapy.

   Education

   A Master's in Social Work (MSW) opens doors to therapy, policy, and leadership roles

   An MSW is optional for entry roles but required for clinical/therapy work. If you already have a BSW, many schools offer a one-year 'advanced standing' MSW.
